Sample Edits
The Sample Solves All
Not sure if we’ll be a good fit?
Don’t know what level of editing your book needs?
That’s exactly what the sample edit is for.
How does a sample edit work?
-
You send 20–30 pages of your book (preferably from the middle) in a Word document.
-
Using Track Changes, I line edit the first 5 pages and leave in-text comments on up to 20 pages.
-
If it’s a fit, I’ll include a quote for a full edit when I return the sample. If it’s not a fit, I’ll refer you to other editors I know and trust who might be a better fit.

Here’s a glimpse of the sample edit I did for Vinita Gupta’s memoir, The Woman in Deed. You can see the edits in purple (I prefer that to red) and my comments on the side.

Clay Vermulm, Author
Adina helped me find everything from comma splices to flat dialogue and character inconsistency. After just two rounds of editing with EdelmanEdits, I feel far more confident in my story than I ever imagined I could.

Adina Kagan, Author
Working with Adina was an absolute pleasure. Her attention to detail was phenomenal, and the suggestions were always creative and on target. What I appreciated most was her respectful and professional demeanor throughout the process.
